Softphone users running macOS may experience an issue with one-way audio on softphone calls. This issue is due to restricted microphone permissions that will prevent the caller from being able to hear you through your laptop or headset microphone. Even if you have previously allowed microphone access on your browser, you may need to grant permission from within your system preferences in order for your microphone to work properly with the CTM softphone.
We recommend that all softphone users running macOS verify these permissions to ensure they can be heard on softphone calls.
Verifying Microphone Permissions
- Open System Preferences on your Mac and select Security and Privacy.
- Select Microphone from the list of options.
- Check the box next to Google Chrome (we recommend using Chrome with the CTM softphone, but make sure you check this option for the browser you normally use).
- Chrome will quit and relaunch in order to apply the updated settings.
