We have made it easier to route to voicemails and include multiple recipients on voicemail notifications! Voicemails can now be routed to in Tracking Numbers, Voice Menus, Queues, Smart Routers, Geo Routers, and Routing Tables.
Setting up a Voicemail
To set up a new voicemail, navigate to Flows > Voicemails > and click on the New Voicemail button at the top right corner of the screen.
- Name your Voicemail.
- Add up to 3 tags.
- Add your voicemail greeting.
- Change the text in the greeting field and choose the voice you want to use.
- Record your greeting by clicking the microphone icon.
- Upload an audio file to use as your greeting by clicking the cloud icon.
- The email toggle defaults to on. When this is on, an email with your Voicemail will be sent to the recipients of your choice.
- Turn the Transcribe toggle on if you'd like to capture a text transcription of your Voicemail. Once you turn this toggle on, a drop-down list will appear where you can choose the language to use
- If the email toggle is on, you can add emails in the Notifications section in the User Emails field.
- If you have a user group set up, you can select the group(s) that should receive email in the User Groups section.
Routing to a Voicemail
You can now route directly to a voicemail in Tracking Numbers, Voice Menus, Queues, Smart Routers, Geo Routers, and Routing Tables.
For example, you can route to a voicemail in a Tracking Number:
- Navigate to Numbers > Tracking Numbers and click Edit next to the number you want to update.
- In the Call Routing section, select Voicemail from the drop-down, then choose the name of your Voicemail.
- Click the Save Changes button.
