The Snapchat integration is available on Marketing Pro, Sales Engage, Enterprise, Growth, and Connect plans.
To set up Snapchat integration, go to Settings → Integrations → Snapchat within your CallTrackingMetrics (CTM) account.
Click → Settings
In a new web browser, go to business.snapchat.com
- Sign in with your Snapchat using your user credentials
- After you’ve signed into Snapchat, go to the Business Settings → Business Details
- Click the → + OAuth App
- Enter an App Name (type in) → CTM
- Enter the Snap redirect URL → https://app.calltrackingmetrics.com/integrations/snapchat/oauth and click → Save
- Once complete, that will create your OAuth ID (Snap Client ID)
- Copy your → Snap Client ID
- Past that into the CTM Snapchat integration page → Client
- Next, in Snapchat, copy the → Client Secret Code
- Past that into the CTM Snapchat integration page → Secret Code
- Lastly, on the Snapchat Business page, copy the → Organization ID
- Past the Snapchat Organization ID into the CTM Snapchat integration page → Organization
- Select → Connect to Snapchat
- Next, you will connect to Snapchat and select → Continue
- Next, within the CTM Snapchat integration page, in the drop-down menu, select → Use an Existing Organization (This allows you to choose the account you wish to connect)
- To set up a tracking number, go into your Snapchat Ad Manager
- Select Create Instant Ad or Advance
- Select → Call My Business or Text My Business
- From here, you can select or add an existing number. Select → Save For New Numbers
- Enter the new tracking number you want to use within the Snapchat portal and select → Text To Verify
- After selecting Text To Verify, go into the CTM Text log and find the Text Message.
- Copy and Past the security code back into the Snapchat Ad Manager portal
- Click next and select your Ad campaign
- Now, within the CTM portal, click → Link Account to Organization
- Once verification is complete, ensure your Organization Name and ID are mapped to the correct account. Select → Confirm Mapping within the CTM portal by selecting → Refresh
For Existing Numbers
- Select the tracking number you want to use within Snapchat and select → Text To Verify
- After selecting Text To VerifyB, go into the CTM Text log and find the Text Message
- Copy and Past the security code back into the Snapchat Ad Manager portal
- Click next and select your Ad campaign
- Now, within the CTM portal, click → Link Account to Organization
- Once verification is complete, ensure your Organization Name and ID are mapped to the correct account. Select → Confirm Mapping within the CTM portal by selecting → Refresh
CallTrackingMetrics Tip for Snapchat:
- Once complete, check to make sure the Ad, Creative, and Tracking Number are correct for the campaign
- For every new campaign, click → Refresh to reload the page to show the tracking number associated with the campaign
- Now, if you go back to the call log, you will be able to see any calls with a particular tracking number
- Once you are in the call log, scroll down to Snapchat
- This will give you all the advertising data Snapchat provides
- Add Name
- Status
- Ad Type
- Creative Name
- Creative Type – Call to text now
- Creative Headline
- Brand Name
- Messaging
- Creative Media Preview allows you to see where the user entered and provides context for why the caller is contacting you.
- This will give you all the advertising data Snapchat provides
Snapchat Support – Additional Notes:
When using a toll-free number, it’s possible you might encounter issues with verification codes.
- If the phone number you use for Swipe to Call or Text cannot be verified because you are using a call center, toll-free number, or another special number that won’t allow you to verify it easily, please reach out to Snapchat here. Select ‘Creating an Ad’ and then ‘My ad is still pending.’ Then click ‘Yes’ next to ‘Need help with something else?
