Sending Data to Facebook
You must create a trigger to send your CallTrackingMetrics data to your Facebook Business account. Because triggers are highly customizable, you can:
- Choose to have data sent under particular conditions
- Adjust what information is sent in specific fields
- Send data to different datasets on Facebook
To create a basic trigger:
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Facebook, then click or scroll down to the Trigger Setup section.
- Use the drop-down menus to select the ad account and Dataset where you wish to send your activity data.
- If the ID is not in the drop-down, click create trigger to add the ID manually.
- Click View Facebook Offline Conversion Trigger. The basic trigger that is created has the following settings:
- The name is set to Facebook Offline Conversion.
- The trigger will run at the end of each activity for all tracking numbers in your account.
- The Dataset ID will be set based on the Dataset you selected from the integration settings page.
-
Note: If an offline event set already exists, You will have until March 2025 to migrate an offline event set to Dataset. In the meantime, you will need to manually swap the new Dataset ID with the old Event Set ID.
-
- The Event Name is set to Lead.
- The default Currency is set to USD (United States dollars).
- The default Value for the event is set to {{sale.value}} (the dollar value entered for the converted call or other activity in your CTM account).
- Review the default settings and make any desired changes. Here are some custom settings you might find helpful:
