MonkeyLearn Integration

What It Does

This integration seamlessly integrates your lead forms into CTM alongside your other activities (Calls, Chats, and Texts). Through the integration, CTM can also capture attribution data, such as the GCLID. 

Prerequisites

  •   A CTM account with access to the MonkeyLearn integration.
  •   A MonkeyLearn account.
  •   A MonkeyLearn API key.
  •   A MonkeyLearn classifier model.
  •   CTM call transcriptions if you want to classify phone calls.
  •   CTM custom fields to store:
    •  Classification tag
    •  Confidence score

How to Set up the Integration

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations. 
  2. Select MonkeyLearn.
  3. Open the MonkeyLearn integration  
  4. Add your MonkeyLearn API keyPaste your MonkeyLearn API key into the API Key field.
  5. Save settings
  6. Add training data if needed

If an API key is saved, select Add Data to send CTM calls with transcriptions and score tags to MonkeyLearn for model training.

  1. Create custom fields in CTM

Create one custom field for the MonkeyLearn classification tag and one custom field for the confidence score.

  1. Go to Triggers. Create a new Trigger or open an existing one.
  2. Add the MonkeyLearn action to the Trigger.
  3. Select the custom field for the category/tag and the custom field for the confidence score.
  4. Save and activate the Trigger

After the Trigger runs on an activity with transcription text, CTM sends the text to MonkeyLearn and saves the classification result.

Troubleshooting

The MonkeyLearn Action Does Not Run

Likely cause: The account does not have MonkeyLearn settings saved.

Fix: Save a valid MonkeyLearn API key first.

No Classification Saved

 Likely cause: The call does not have transcription text.

Fix: Confirm transcription is enabled and the call has a completed transcription.

MonkeyLearn Returns No Result

Likely cause: The model ID is missing, invalid, or the API key cannot access the model.

 Fix: Confirm the MonkeyLearn model exists and the API key has access.

Classification Fields Are Empty

 Likely cause: The Trigger action is not mapped to valid CTM custom fields.

Fix: Edit the Trigger and select the correct custom fields for tag and confidence score. ##

Can MonkeyLearn Classify Calls?

Yes, if the call has transcription text.

Can MonkeyLearn Classify Texts or Chats?

The integration is designed for call, text, or chat data, but the Trigger action uses activity data that must provide text for classification.

Where Does CTM Store the MonkeyLearn Result?

CTM stores the classification tag and confidence score in the custom fields selected in the Trigger action.
