Make Integration

What It Does

Connect CTM to thousands of applications and automate your business workflows with Make. This integration lets you trigger actions from CTM events, synchronize data between systems, automate lead and customer processes, and build advanced workflows.

Prerequisites

  • A Marketing Pro, Contact, Sales Engage or Enterprise CTM plan that includes Make. 
  • A Make account.
  • Permission in CTM to view the Make integration.
  • Access in Make to create or edit scenarios.
  • Destination app credentials needed for your Make scenario, e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Airtable, BigQuery, or Monday CRM.

How to Set up the Integration

  • Go to Settings > Integrations. 
  • Select Make.
  • Open the Make integration
  • Create or open your Make account
    • Use the Make sign-up link from the CTM Make integration page, or sign in to your existing Make account.
  • Choose a CTM app or template in Make
    •  In Make, search for CallTrackingMetrics or choose one of the available CTM templates.
  • Connect CTM to Make
    • Follow the prompts in Make to authorize or connect your CTM account.
  • Choose the app where you want to send CTM data
    • For example, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Airtable, BigQuery, Monday CRM, or another app supported by Make.
  • Build your scenario: choose the CTM event or data source, then map CTM fields into the destination app.
  • Test the scenario
    • Run a test in Make and confirm the destination app receives the expected CTM data.
  • Turn on the scenario
  • Once testing looks correct, activate the scenario in Make.

 

 

 

Troubleshooting

Make Page Not Available in CTM

Likely cause: The Make integration isn't available with your current CTM plan.

Fix: Check your current CTM plan to confirm it includes access to the Make integration. Make is available with Marketing Pro, Contact, Sales Engage, and Enterprise CTM plans.

Make Cannot Connect to CTM

Likely cause: There is an issue with the CTM credentials or authorization step.

Fix: Reconnect CTM inside Make and confirm you are using the correct CTM account.

Data Missing in the Destination App

Likely cause: Incomplete Make scenario field mapping.

Fix: Review the Make scenario and confirm each required destination field is mapped to the correct CTM field.

Scenario Does Not Run

Likely cause: The scenario is not active, or the selected CTM event has not yet occurred

Fix: Turn on the scenario and run a test event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Build Workflows to Multiple Apps?

Yes. Make supports workflows across many apps, so CTM activity can be sent to different destinations depending on your scenario.

Does CTM Build the Make Scenario?

No. CTM provides the integration access point, and you will build and manage the scenario in Make.

Can I Use Make to send CTM Call Data to a Spreadsheet?

Yes. Common examples include Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Airtable.
