The OpenAI Ads integration allows you to send conversion events from CTM directly to your OpenAI Ads account. By connecting CTM to OpenAI Ads, you can report phone calls, forms, texts, chats, and other tracked activities as conversion events, helping improve campaign measurement and optimization.
Before You Begin
Before setting up the integration, you will need:
- An OpenAI Ads account
- Your OpenAI Ads Pixel ID
- Your OpenAI Ads Conversion API Key
These values can be found within your OpenAI Ads account under the Conversions section.
Creating an OpenAI Ads Mapping
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Select OpenAI Ads
- Click Create OpenAI Ads Mapping
- Select the CTM account that will capture activities
- Enter a Mapping Name
- Enter your Pixel ID
- Enter your Conversion API Key
- Select an Event Type from the dropdown menu
- Select an Action Source Type from the dropdown menu
- Click Save Changes
Once saved, CTM will establish the connection between your CTM account and OpenAI Ads.
Creating a Trigger
After creating the integration mapping, you must configure a trigger to determine which activities should be sent to OpenAI Ads as conversion events.
- Navigate to Flows → Triggers
- Create a new trigger or edit an existing trigger
- Configure your workflow conditions
Examples include:
- Calls longer than 60 seconds
- First-time callers
- Qualified leads
- Form submissions
- Appointment bookings
- Under Actions, select OpenAI Ads Conversion
- Complete any additional action settings
- Click Save Changes
Once the trigger conditions are met, CTM will automatically send the conversion event to OpenAI Ads.
Viewing Conversion Logs
You can review integration activity directly from the OpenAI Ads integration page.
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations
- Select your OpenAI Ads integration mapping
- Open the Logs section
The logs display:
- Activities processed by CTM
- Conversion events sent to OpenAI Ads
- Success and failure statuses
- Error details when applicable
These logs can be used to verify that conversions are being successfully transmitted and to troubleshoot any issues with the integration.
