Genius Monkey Integration

The CTM integration with Genius Monkey helps marketers connect programmatic advertising impressions directly to inbound phone calls—even when a customer never clicks on an ad.

Genius Monkey is a programmatic advertising platform that supports channels including display, video, Connected TV (CTV), audio, and native advertising.

By integrating Genius Monkey with CTM, you can:

• Attribute inbound calls to ad impressions
• Gain better visibility into the customer journey
• Improve campaign attribution and reporting
• Optimize ad spend using more accurate conversion data

Before You Begin

This integration allows Genius Monkey to track calls handled through CTM and apply Genius Monkey attribution data directly within your CTM account.

Using API access, Genius Monkey can:

• Configure the custom fields and panels required for attribution tracking 
• Push attribution data back into CTM daily

Before starting setup, you will need the following from your CTM account:

• API Key
• API Secret

To retrieve your CTM API credentials:

1. Click the Settings Gear icon (⚙) located in the lower-left corner of your CTM account.
2. Select Account Settings from the navigation bar.
3. Scroll down to the API Integration section (or use the page's sub-navigation to jump directly to it).
4. Enable API Access if it is not already enabled.
5. Copy your:
   1. Access Key
   2. Secret Key
6. Send these credentials to your Genius Monkey contact.

Script Modification

The CTM tracking script requires modification to incorporate custom logic. This logic is essential
for tracking Genius Monkey visitors and should be included as part of the following CTM Script
section:

Installing the CTM Script

Follow these steps to install the CTM tracking script:

1. Navigate to "Numbers" using the main left-hand menu.
2. From the navigation bar, select "Tracking Code".
3. Locate and expand the "Advanced Options" section.
4. Scroll to "Custom Tracking Code" and paste your script after any existing code in this area.
5. Save your changes.

 

Next Steps - Implementation & Tracking

Phase 1: Setup

1. Receive and Verify Credentials: Once Genius Monkey receives the necessary API credentials, they will verify that the tracking script is deployed on the CTM platform.
2. CTM Configuration: Genius Monkey will use the API credentials to configure your CTM account by adding Genius Monkey's custom pane, fields, workflow triggers, and webhooks.
3. Website Integration: Genius Monkey will modify the existing Genius Monkey tracking code on your website to integrate the required CTM code.

Phase 2: Live Tracking

We anticipate seeing initial conversions within 1 to 2 business days after the completion of the above steps.
