How to revoke authorization to a connector in Looker Studio

You may come across issues when using Looker Studio where you will need to revoke authorization to a connector and then reconnect in order to move forward. These are some reasons you may need to revoke authorization: 

  • Looker Studio is connected to an account, and you want to connect to a different account.
  • You receive an error when attempting to link your account.
  • You want to change the connector to an agency-level connector.

Steps to revoke authorization to a connector in Looker Studio: 

  1. Go to your list of connectors.


  2. Then, revoke access here.

  3. You may see this window as you click through. Click the "Connected Apps" link to remove access here.





  4. Then go back to the previous tab and click "Remove Anyway."

  5. After having done the previous steps, you get to this screen.



  6. Then, click Authorize. You will be prompted to sign in with Google, and then click Allow for the connector.

  7. Lastly, you will get to this screen. This should ensure that you will start from step one with any further attempts to connect.
