Resetting Users Two-Factor

Agency Administrators can reset users Two-Factor Authentication methods if a user can no longer access their method of choice.

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Users
  2. Click Edit next to the user that needs to be reset
  3. Scroll to Multi-Factor Methods
  4. Click Add/Edit on the two-factor method that is being used, this will be indicated with a green circle
  5. You will be prompted to re-authenticate as these are sensitive security areas 
  6. Disable the two-factor method, once this is done the next time the user logs in they can enable two-factor again with the correct settings.

Backup Codes for Two-Factor

Agency Administrators can retrieve users in their agencies backup codes for them if a user has no access to their codes.

Retrieve a User's Code

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Users
  2. Click Edit next to the user that needs to be reset
  3. Scroll to Multi-Factor Methods
  4. Click Add/Edit beside the Backup Codes section
  5. You will be prompted to re-authenticate as these are sensitive security areas 
  6. Click View Backup Codes
