Resetting Users Two-Factor
Agency Administrators can reset users Two-Factor Authentication methods if a user can no longer access their method of choice.
- Go to Settings > Manage Users
- Click Edit next to the user that needs to be reset
- Scroll to Multi-Factor Methods
- Click Add/Edit on the two-factor method that is being used, this will be indicated with a green circle
- You will be prompted to re-authenticate as these are sensitive security areas
- Disable the two-factor method, once this is done the next time the user logs in they can enable two-factor again with the correct settings.
Backup Codes for Two-Factor
Agency Administrators can retrieve users in their agencies backup codes for them if a user has no access to their codes.
Retrieve a User's Code
- Go to Settings > Manage Users
- Click Edit next to the user that needs to be reset
- Scroll to Multi-Factor Methods
- Click Add/Edit beside the Backup Codes section
- You will be prompted to re-authenticate as these are sensitive security areas
- Click View Backup Codes
